Dark Horses

Flossie Malavialle and Keith Donnelly met in 2001 at the Spring Thing Festival in Darlington and soon became firm friends. She liked his songs, he liked her style… a couple of years ago, they decided to team up and started doing festivals together (Warwick, Banbury, Chester, Chippenham, Bromyard to name but a few) pleasantly surprising people in the process with their material… which inspired Keith to name their duo “Dark Horses”.

They supported Fairport Convention on their Winter Tour (January-March 2010) and  recorded their first eponymous album for the occasion, consisting of 12 songs written by Keith and sung by Flossie - except the only French song on the CD sung by Keith! They are currently having it re-pressed as it is proving very popular indeed. See the Album and CD pages for more info.

They thoroughly enjoyed their first tour of Australia together in the Spring of 2011, for which they were booked to play 4 major festivals along with another 17 concerts from Hong Kong to Tasmania... an amazing experience indeed!
Rumours of a possible second tour of Australia in 2013 are gathering space and that would be the incentive they need to record their second album... Watch this space!

Check the Gig page for full details on dates/venues... all our concerts together are highlighted in yellow.
